Getting my Bob Dylan mood going (June, 2008). Hot dang that's some hair do.

There are certain moments in life where we all inevitably start asking ourselves the bigger questions, like who am I, really? or, what’s the meaning of life? A lot of people think that changing the world is the logical answer to either of those questions, but I don’t think it is.

With every decision we make in life, we affect many people around us. The ripple effect, so to speak. So, by living our lives and doing the things we do, we in fact change the world. Hopefully for the better.

Eomji :)

Five years ago I sent an email to a guy who’s photography I loved, and a friendship grew from that one email. four-or-so years ago I wrote a Flickr Message to a woman who’s photography I admired, and a friendship grew out of it. Three years ago I met her, and one year ago I joined the company she worked for.

I frequented a Starbucks close to work where I met some amazing people that I’m proud to know, and one in particular managed to change my life, perhaps more than she even knows.

When you take a look around, you’ll notice that you are changing the world. Perhaps not in the way you want (or think you want), but you are. You, and the people around you, probably don’t even notice it. Who would’ve thought life-changing things to happen when you buy a drink, or admire someone’s photography.

Short of your own, who’s life have you changed already?

I have two desks set up in a corner, and work behind one of them. The other is there for some extra things like paperwork, or just to extend my desk as an elbow rest really.

Every time I sit behind my computer to do some work or watch a movie or so, Forest always comes to sit next to me, on the second desk. It’s really his thing. Sometimes Gu-da tries it too, but often enough Forest makes sure she gets lost. But that’s ok, Gu-da has her own spots, too.

Well, I think spring really is here now, both in my life and season-wise. I went out for a late lunch today and bought a sandwich from 7/11, along with some apple yogurt drink. I decided to stay outside and catch some sunlight. I took the liberty to make a few random photos around the office.

Named after Rachael Yamagata’s latest album, for no reason other than it references Elephants. Yeah I know, that’s deep.

Today I wasn’t feeling like eating lunch all that much, but was gently forced, so went anyway.. It turned out to be a good choice though, the food tasted really nice today. I went together with David Lee and Stefan to 가가시 (Gagasi) and eat 미소 (Miso) noodles (I think that’s what it’s called).

I had to break a few ankles and torture interview a few people to get the right information, but I’ve found a bakery that has actual bread! It’s truly impressive how difficult it is to find bread that is not white. It’s a French bakery called Guillaume with bakers from french and, apparently, even their ingredients are brought in from the land of the funny-dressed.

YoungDoo and John (who will have a photo exhibition at this bakery, actually) were kind enough to give me this above piece of bread after they visited the bakery. Yummy!

It’s a challenge to find animals in Seoul (other than stray dogs and cats), and even during spring and summer the number of times I wake up hearing bird sounds can be counted using one hand. But today, out of nowhere, a white dove came and sat on the house across from my home for a while, just sitting there.

I wonder what it came here for.

Last night (Friday) we went out for some dinner and to play some pocketball. Together with SoHee (recently joined Zenitum), her sister, Stefan and John we battled guys vs. girls (so three vs. two), and were completely ripped to pieces by the girls. Yay.

I only made a few photos, as apparently me laying half over the table while one was concentrating on a move was distracting.. Hehe.

Stefan showing us how it's done.

She rated her own pocketball skills at 6/10, but played a straight 9/10. Lier. Lier! Puh! :'(

That's eight. yep. Number eight, right there.

Not a word about my smile. I was laughing at John, ok? Eesh.

The Gang.
